Watergate Salad is a big thing at my house around the holidays. If you want a sweet dessert then this can be your go-to any time of year. It is easy to make and is so good.

My grandmother made this when I was younger and I wanted to continue this for my family.

Ingredients

Scale

1 (3.4 ounces) pkge of instant pistachio pudding mix

1 (8-ounce) can of crushed pineapple, with juice

1 cup of coconut

1 cup miniature marshmallows

3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

8 ounces Cool-Whip (1 container)

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a large bowl and stir.  Refrigerate when finished.

Notes

If you do not like coconut or nuts, then don’t add them.  Some recipes do call for cherries but that doesn’t go over well with my family but might with your family.
